The House of Phantoms

Need somebody dead? Look no further than the House of Phantoms; a reclusive guild of professional killers who specialize in death (as well as thievery, larceny, forgery, and many many other very illegal activities).

The House of Phantoms is deeply intertwined with the machinations of Crucible, starting when the guild's founder, Mikael Creed, assassinated King Merthyron III on behest of a political rival and ended Tron Renaren's royal line. Creed has helmed the House of Phantoms ever since as a fearsome death knight who carries on in undeath to meet out death for the right price.

In their centuries of existence, they've both directly and indirectly steered Crucible's development as a state, be it with a puppet king on the throne or worming their way into the pockets of the nobility. Even after King Snowthorne --who was the closest a king has ever been with the Phantoms-- was removed from office, the Phantoms still lurk beneath the city streets. It is unclear yet what sort of relationship King Havik has facilitated with them, but one thing is certain: the Phantoms will continue to haunt the streets of Crucible as long as the Phantom Knight still walks the earth.
