Vathkal (Vath Kahl)

A classical dwarven city located beneath the southern Anvils. Vathkal freely trades with human lands, offering their legendary metalcrafts in exchange for surface luxuries like "live stock (meat with legs)" and "agricultural goods". While their sister city of Kal Kadre (the two cities are two of the very few remaining dwarven cities still connected by their Low Ways) is far more reclusive, Vathkal tends to act as a middleman between Kal Kadre and human lands, as the latter recognizes the benefits of surface trade but is loathe to actually admit it. Like most dwarven cities, Vathkal is significantly boasts advanced industrial technologies like plumbing, refrigeration, and steam-powered machinery.
