Anthony Khanna
Archangel Titanmaster, and leader of lance Sierra. Father to Bethany Khanna, and arguably the only reason Safe Zone 1 is still standing. Were it not for his own sacrifice, the war between the Mechrion and the humans would look very differently.

Personal history
His upbringing was not unlike that of others. He was born in the Safe Zones, lived in constant fear of Mechrion attack, eventually decided that the best way to deal with this fear is to fight it. He joined the Archangels Mechanized Infantry corps at the age of twenty-five. Not long after joining, he met a woman named Maria. The two were assigned to the same lance, and went through hell together on multiple occasions. The two would fall in love, and would marry when the two were about twenty-eight, and had their first, and only child at age twenty-nine. Maria named the girl, Bethany.
Anthony had a new duty, that duty being to his daughter. Maria would step down from the Archangels to focus solely on raising little Bethany. Anthony continued his duties as an Archangel, as he saw this to be the best way to protect his child. Shortly after Bethany's eighteenth birthday, Maria was diagnosed with cancer. After Bethany had turned ten, Maria had gone on one more patrol with Anthoney. Little did either of them know, there was a problem in the radiation shielding of the miniature nuclear reactor that powered Maria's titan. This exposure caused the cancer. By the time they realized what it was, it was too late. Six months later, Maria would die in her sleep. Despite Anthony's direct instructions, Bethany would join the Archangels. She was assigned to her father's lance, (Sierra lance) in which Anthony was already the C.O.
He was involved in the first publicly known offensive op, and watched as Christopher's titan was hacked, and as Evan was killed by a Mechrion Sniper. He was in one of the two lances deployed to assess the silence, and possible distress of Safe Zone 2. In the attack on Safe Zone 1, he held off the Mechrion ground advance so Bethany and the rest of the surviving Archangels could fall back to defend the invasion bunkers. This last stand of his was just that. His death was not in vain, and was arguably the very thing that saved Safe Zone 1. He did not die for the Safe Zones, not for the people hiding in the invasion bunkers, not for the Archangels. He died for his daughter.

He was among the most loyal, experienced, and capable of Archangels in the history of the corps. Even in his death, he fulfilled an objective that allowed for humanity to survive.
Failures & Embarrassments
For almost the entire time Maria was sick, he remained behind the controls of his titan. The fear of seeing his wife in the state that she was in turned him away. He loved her more than anything, and the last thing he wanted to see was her suffering.
Mental Trauma
"Not only was I not there for Maria when she needed me, but now my daughter sits in the same machines that killed her mother. Not only that, but I wasn't there for Maria when she needed me. Lord forgive me, I failed as a father, and as a husband."
