A'tuin the Swift

A'tuin the Swift, or simply A'tuin, is the Horizonback of the Atiu Tortles. She returns to Atiu Beach every summer solstice when the tribe meets to celebrate and share knowledge. She is called "the Swift" because she often moves so fast upon the ocean that a stiff breeze is made. She is fond of submerging without warning when too much noise is made upon her back, though she always surfaces quickly thereafter.
