Bop the Unsuspecting Bystander

Bop the Unsuspecting Bystander [also known as armed robbery or assault with a deadly weapon] is a game played by Kobolds and (usually) unwilling participants of other races. While the regional rules vary wildly. All forms of this activity abide by the following rules:

The kobolds form one team and unsuspecting bystanders form another team, numbers of teammates need not be equal.
Both teams attempt to "bop" or otherwise incapacitate all the members of the opposing team.
Advanced planning is encouraged, the usually the unsuspecting bystanders are very forgetful that a match was scheduled or the kobolds forget to tell them...
The winner of the game is entitled to the possessions of the losing team.

Among kobolds, there is considerable debate about the overlap between this game and Find the Shiny. Some maintain that Find the Shiny is a game played to celebrate a victory of Bop the Unsuspecting Bystander, though others think the final 'round' of Bop the Unsuspecting Bystander is called Find the Shiny
