Kolmora Islands
The Kolmora Islands (Elvish: Kolmor-A) is a tropical archipelago comprised of four large islands and several smaller islands off the southeast coast of Vaeheor. It is home to the Sea Elf people who call themselves the Kolmor-A.
Geography
The archipelago is made up of four major islands:
- Foqal (The Shield) in the northwest. It is dotted with several different fortresses and strongholds, including Loathis, Tureil, and Yrisel.
- Alusfaen (Bloody Sand) in the south west. It has mountains and hills running southwest to northeast along the island. Many invasions also landed here, all were invaders were defeated, and the sands are said to be tinged red with the blood of orcs to this day. Home to the strongholds of Ironsand and Tosk.
- El Run in the east. Home to the major town of Port Gustav.
- Shanta-Aira in the south. This island is the least developed and home to sea elves who wish to be left alone to follow their ancient ways.
History
The loosely connected tribes of sea elves repelled numerous invasions by the Empire of Belatora. The northwest island, Foqal, is dotted by fortress and strongholds. The sea elves (Kolmor-A) are renowned for their ferocity in battle, though they can be friendly to those who share their interests.
Some of the islands have been settled by other races, though the sea elves maintain firm control over their islands-all settlers know they remain on the islands at the pleasure of the sea elves.
