Drymond Savanna

Geography

The lower region in western Drymond is Drymond Savanna. The main rivers of Snavon and Felenor each stop before reaching the savanna, resulting in this dry yellow grassland. To the east, a steep shelf of rock separates the savanna from Felenor.   Drymond Savanna contains two occupied villages: Sitraz and Dulkara. Sitraz is a large town known known for its enormous bazaar, while Dulkara is a farming village. Both towns are independent from any nation or kingdom, and are run by their own local governments. They share an agreement to defend one another, should either be besieged.   The savanna is home to a host of animals that are rare to nonexistent in other parts of the world, such as lions, zebras, and elephants. Elephants are a protected species in the savanna, and ivory trade is highly illegal.

Demographics

Drymond Savanna's towns have a varied population of travelers. Uncommon races like genasi and dragonborn are less uncommon there, and elves, gnomes, and half-elves are more plentiful than usual due to the proximity to the Spiritwood.   The savanna is a great place to observe and hunt wild animals. Rangers are often found roaming the open landscape, and druids sometimes visit the savanna to discover new forms for their wild shape.
