Sitraz
The larger of the two towns in Drymond Savanna is Sitraz, a place famous for its wondrous bazaar. Adobe walls and structures make for a bustling labyrinthine city. Painted rooftops and dyed market stalls bring color to the town.
Sitraz's centralized location is a big part of the success of its bazaar. Traders from the magical Spiritwood Forest can meet with artificers of Snavopolis to exchange wares; salespeople from farther places bring distant materials such as Solakian bamboo, ore and gems from the Smokewhistle Mines, and magic items looted from ancient ruins. The saying goes, "If you can't buy it in Sitraz, it can't be bought."
Government
Sitraz elects a mayor every few years. This mayor is responsible for arranging occasional town halls to discuss any issues or new developments. Ultimately the mayor holds most of the power, as they can veto anything that is voted on. They are also responsible for collecting taxes that fund the town guard.Law & enforcment
Sitraz's guards diligently hunt anyone who would threaten their city's business, with especial focus on theft and trade of prohibited items. Some drug restrictions are lighter in Sitraz; silkweed can be traded legally there. Elephants are beloved by Sitrazans, and and are a protected species; any product originating from an elephant is highly illegal, especially ivory. Sitraz has an alliance with Dulkara, the other city in the savanna. If either town were to be invaded, the other would step in to help defend it. Food from Dulkara is important to Sitraz's survival, and Dulkara benefits greatly from the variety of items available in Sitraz.Features
