Fariel Columns

Where most of the map of Subterranea represents numerous parallel caves, the Fariel Columns are one massive vacuous cavern. Enormous columns now support the ceiling of this giant hall where stalactite met stalagmite long ago. The Columns were named for Fariel Ervenhal, the drow leader who guided her people through the darkness of Subterranea to the place where they built and settled in Umethrynn.
Merchants travel the road along the southern edge of the cave when transporting wares between Umethrynn and northern Archestria. Explorers sometimes venture out into the Columns in the hopes of finding lost secrets and treasure among its sparse ancient ruins.
Travelers were reported missing when taking the road through Fariel Columns recently. During 2023-12-13 The Fariel Columns Lurkers, a group of adventurers put an end to the Carnabrex Coterie's operation in the area, which involved kidnapping innocent people.
