Things are going better now. We built walls and even a city, with irrigation and agriculture under way. This city – Atla, they’re naming it – feels like home already. Perhaps we were put here as part of some kind of test. I hope we’re passing.

The explorers have been finding these little magical crystals while charting the world. Once construction is done on the observation tower, which will double as an engineering research facility, I will be able to experiment with these crystals. Some of them are full of energy and glow brightly; I am confident I can fashion them into something that will greatly facilitate our lives. I wonder what colors we’ll see when we peek beyond the veil of this world’s oppressive darkness.
