Welby seems… disturbed. He hobbles around at late hours, hardly resting, and hunts rats in the basement. I wouldn’t think that a dead person would need to consume anything to survive, but I don’t understand the intricacies of the experiment that created him. He doesn’t seem to talk or listen anymore, sometimes drools or skitters up walls like some kind of hunting spider, and his jaw and digits are gradually elongating, creating a monstrous look. Others are noticeably avoiding him as well.

Rumors say that the King has ordered the lead alchemists to work on a new experiment, instead of improving Welby’s form. I really hope his majesty is acting in the best interests of the entire kingdom.

Welby attacked someone yesterday. They’ve imprisoned him in the dungeons. He scowls and snarls like a fast, clawed zombie, and has developed a venomous bite. I hope the new experiments come soon, and return hope to the people for their afterlife.
