The Haunted Realm

There is a region of the world where the dead do not rest, where the sky is pale and the wind whispers of doom, where ghosts and revenants patrol the land in an eternal wild hunt. It is believed that long ago, the Haunted Realm was a prosperous kingdom that fell victim to a terrible curse, causing the dead to return and seek vengeance against the living.

Geography

In the center of the world, the equatorial belt of mountains is broken up by a wide valley. Moisture from the Smokewhistle Mountains to the west and @colorles to the east cascade inward to form a constant gloomy fog, and the rivers flowing from both sides meet and flow into The Shadowglade to the south. Drymond borders the Haunted Realm to the north. The cold fog seems to have choked the life out of the realm, leaving forests of dead trees devoid of wildlife.

Demographics

The Haunted Realm is occupied by restless, maddened undead in their many forms: ghosts, skeletons, zombies, wights, and so on. Many of them appear to have been humans once, but some are unrecognizably distorted.
