Spirit Forge

A spirit forge is an enchanted forge that serves as a haven for fire spirits. It can be used to craft magic items (typically +1 weapons, shields, and armor). Few spirit forges exist across Archestria, and almost exclusively in major cities.
Creating a spirit forge requires a number of components:

• Igneous stone to construct the body
• A ruby worth at least 1000gp
• A fire elemental, which binds to the ruby
• An offering, typically volcanic ash

Upgrading a spirit forge requires:

• Time spent using the forge, to grow the spirits
• A droplet of hot magma
• A blessing given willingly by a being of fire

Spirit forges were invented by dwarves. The first one is the Archestriforge in Basaltthrone.
