The Forge is complete. The sphere mold panels are operational, pipes are set, and the entire structure is carefully positioned over the geothermal power source discovered a while ago. The walls are reinforced as always so that we may study and build in safety. We nearly have enough crystal sealant, but need more crystals themselves. Finding them glowing brightly within the dark landscape isn’t difficult, but the vicious shadow monsters have put an end to many gathering expeditions. We need to build the Orb of Radiance quickly; this is a race against time for our survival. When we have illuminated the world, I hope that the shadow creatures burn and vanish forever. It feels like some sick cosmic game that we’re playing, to have to fight so hard against our demise. I do believe we can win, though. I just don’t know what comes next after the shadows are gone…
