Solaki

Geography

The southeast corner of the Archestrian continent is a lush green land of maples, willows, and bamboo, with the occasional pink splash of cherry blossom trees. A cluster of steep vertical mountains called the Suntouch Spires protrudes from the heart of the land, casting a long, moving shadow like a gargantuan sundial. Moisture from the misty landscape gathers into two ponds, named Sunfire and Moonfrost Lake. This region is Solaki, and it borders the Shadowglade to the west, Birchland to the north, and the oceans on its other sides.
The language, architecture, culture, and teachings of Solakians often involve themes light and dark, sun and moon, day and night. Monasteries teach disciplines of balance and self control. Light temples dedicated to spirits of illumination are common. Morningshade City, the capital, is known for its statues that create shadow art visible at different times of day.

Demographics

The majority of the population of Solaki consists of humans, high elves, and half-elves. Dragonborn are also fairly common.
Monks are common in Solaki, more so than any other place in the world. Divine styles like clerics and paladins are also more popular than others, as spirits are common among the dense forests.
