Shortly after Queen Andrea assumes the throne, Escher begins an 86-year period of rapid expansion into historical Vibria. With powerful machinery and skilled soldiers, they manage to drive out the tribes and subdue many of the demigods, although their power doesn't compare to the fated clerics of old. The expansion campaign ends at the Taiga. After waging three unsuccessful attacks against him, the monarchy caves in to pressure from the Noble Assembly to stop expanding and fortify Escher's defenses instead.
