Feordon

A rather large kingdom in the Vast Central Plains, inhabited by primarily humans. The primary governmental system is a representative republic, but recently, many of the citizens have been dissatisfied with the current system. A revolution was started recently in 139 G.L. by Quintin Wellis, and although it was defeated, it has left the country in ruins. Another revolt is expected to hit the country in the near future, due to still high levels of tension and unrest.

Structure

A large, unicameral legislative branch holds the most power in the nation. Aside from them, there are city mayors that may hold slim amounts of power.

Public Agenda

Maintain peaceful trade relationships with nearby countries, and crush the rebellion.

History

The most recent historical event of significance is the Wellis revolution. A revolution was started recently in 139 G.L. by Quintin Wellis, who promised that with him in control he could repair the nation's problems. He faced much initial success against the disorganized troops of Feordon, eventually reaching the capital city of Graymire and laying siege to it. Although Quintin was a tactical genius and didn't lose a single battle on the open field during his campaigns, he faced various logistical problems. By 142, his troops were underfed, poorly equipt, and supply lines were running thin and facing constant ambush from loyalist militias. Morale was low, and the combination of an attack from behind by the Feordonian army and a sortie from within the city's walls decimated the remainder of the revolution. The victory for Feordon was a pyrrhic one at best, and the country still remains in ruins.
