Sarton
The Kingdom of Sarton, often known as the Kingdom of Gunslingers, is an anomaly to the rest of the world. It is a feudal kingdom, which is nothing new at first glance. However, the knights do not wield swords, clubs, and bows like most warriors of the nations bordering them do. Rather, they wield guns, a technology normally exclusive to the Dwarven kingdoms which lie North of Sarton. Through successful diplomacy and trade, the Sartonians have acquired guns and its knights wield them with great success. A gunslinger is a gunslinger from birth till death, exceeding the capabilities of most humans through a combination of harsh training, experience, and even altering their brains and bodies permanently through the use of alchemy and magic. Aside from the gunslingers themselves, the king holds the most power in the land. Although it is a hereditary title, it is not unusual for the gunslingers and high wizards to rebel against an unworthy king. Thus, a lot of pressure is put upon the king and if he doesn't believe himself to be fit for the title, he may willingly abdicate.

Public Agenda
The Kingdom of Sarton's primary goal is to defend its people and lands. The people are defended by an elite faction of knights called Gunslingers. Thanks to them, the peasants are able to live relatively peaceful lives. Like most kingdoms, the king levies taxes from his people to build infrastructure and to support the Gunslingers which defend the nation.
