Buzaddush

Buzaddush is the biggest settlement in Hilumen. Largely unregulated and with a loose kind of law, Buzaddush survives thanks to an uneasy truce and fragile trust built between those who have survived exile. Some have settled down and there are now native Buzaddushians born and raised here having their own children. The city is a mishmash of survivors who work together when necessary and form alliances to achieve common goals.   There is a largely unmapped body of land to the East of Buzaddush and some long to map and explore. Due to the risks however, few have dared and fewer have returned.

Government

For the most part, people take justice into their own hands. Occasionally the inhabitants will come together to discuss local issues or deal with someone who goes against their greater good.

Infrastructure

The infrastructure has grown as new people have arrived. The skills bought have varied, and those with no skills or ingenuity often don't make it this far into Hilumen to contribute to the city infrastructure.

Guilds and Factions

The Megairans-holding a grudge against the Aswarian Empire and plotting revenge.  The Hadrians - Function primarily at night, thrive in the dark. Not seen during the day.  The Akujins - an unusual group, possibly some undead or at least necromancers involved.  The Larenians - Sad at the circumstances but working on agriculture and survival and beginning new lives. Often one of the first groups to take in and educate newbies.

Points of interest

A Shrine to the Dark Axes. A group of individuals, most of whom perished saving the city from a pack of skeletons raised by a half crazed necromancer who got turned around in a storm and thought this was the Aswarian Empire.

Geography

Dry, dusty and barren lands surround the area. Burnt out trees are visited to gather water. Some have begun trying to get some irrigation and water collection set up to minimize the back and forth of water gathering.

Natural Resources

Water from the burnt out trees (filtered by the ash), some animals are starting to be domesticated. People are trying to build up the agriculture. There are some naturally occuring wild garlic and chives thriving in the ashy wastelands. There are also some stone fruit trees growing from the seeds kept by exiles who were given some provisions. Some leafy green vegetables are doing well, including asparagus, leeks and lettuces.
