Padan Validus
Padan is the leader of the noble house of Validus during the early to mid 5th century. Though he never officially married, he married his wife Umagh Validus in secret and fathered their son, Galahan Validus. He was a powerful diplomat during the mid 400s, before his wife's death in 453. Never fully recovering from the loss of his wife, Padan faked his death in 460 in order to join the Church of Myrkul.

Padan became obsessed with the concept of rebirth and paradise after his indoctrination with the Church. Believing that he could help stop the cycle of rebirth and be reuinited with his wife, Padan agreed to be the blood sacrifice for the ritual that would ressurect Myrkul.
