Meta Questions

  • Rank the "3 pillars of D&D"
    • What do you want to experience in a space sci-fi setting?

Rules Talk

  • Summarize the Crash Course Intro
  • No humans
  • No magic
    • No: Wizard, Cleric, Sorceror, Paladin, Druid
    • Maybe: Bard, Some magic-adjacent subclasses (Have to flavor them properly!)
  • Gambits: Use the WorldAnvil
    • Player PDA --> Character Options --> Gambits
    • ESPECIALLY for Vehicles, Engineering school gambits
  • Species > Culture + Physiology
    • Create a species by combining Culture + Physiology...
    • AND THEN giving it a name, appearance, maybe planet of origin
    • Multiple species can exist with the same Culture + Physiology combination
    • Can mix and match racial features if you feel it's appropriate (please work with me)

World Talk

  • On Eigenvector convoy Rimtreader for about 2 months now
    • Have to think about why they're there
    • Inhabitant? Crew? Temporary passenger or worker?
  • Give more background info for Eigenvector
    • Loosely tied; no leader or organizational structure, just convoys in contact with each other
    • Your convoy has ~4,000 inhabitants, definitely on the smaller side
    • Median population would be just under 100,000
    • Largest convoys have tens of millions

Starships of the Galaxy

  • Have their own size scale
    • Tiny: unmanned (drones)
    • Small: 1 to 2 aboard
    • Medium: Minimum crew of 4 at base
    • Large: Minimum crew of 400 at base
    • Huge: Minimum crew of 7,000 at base
    • (Gargantuan: 80,000 lol)
    • **Tiny ships are huge on the ground scale! (Small are gargantuan...)
  • Ships have "roles" (like classes) and can be upgraded to higher tiers (costly)
  • Have hull dice, all 6 ability scores (standard array or point buy), and many have shield dice
  • Have power dice
    • Resource similar to bardic inspiration: use it to improve specific rolls
  • Characters have "Deployments"
    • Linked to character
    • humans
  • humans
