Defining Recurring Characters
For the purposes of this listing, "recurring characters" are defined as non-player characters (NPCs) who play a role across all or most of an act (see The Story So Far), with the general implication that they are in someway relevant to the greater plot to one or more of the campaigns. Additional characters are likely to be added as the party travels and make new memories. If you don't see a specific character, they may be either be a past or current player character (such as Drake or Rotund) or may be listed as a secondary character. For player characters, see the Character Codex for more details. For the Torch company founded by Torchlord Gregor, see the Gregor's Torch Company for more details. For other non-player characters not listed here or above, see the Secondary Characters for more details.Torches
Alexa

Torchlord Maxwell - "Maxie"
The gnomish Torchlord of the Magnosi Torch branch, and the older brother of the Torch's magical R&D lead Moxie. Lovingly referred to as "Maxie". He considers himself to be a perfectionist, and clocks time meticulously, but this brings him a great deal of worry and anxiety. |

An eccentric but talented, gnomish cataloger and enchanter who runs the Torch's magical item exchange. |
Selena deFay
An elvish spellcaster from Magnos, she is concerned
with the persecution of magically-gifted people, among others, of the world. While she was unable to change the minds of Harad's people about magic, she was able to save (and ultimately adopt) More. She is well-educated in both academia and combat, and is very willing to talk about it. |
Silvarin
A mysterious, but often jovial half-elven duelist. He has
worked with the Torches for several years to end the Shadow's plan, which is why he seems to know almost everybody. He also has a odd-habit of sprinkling Al-Andalusian elvish words into his everyday Romanoran Common speech. |
Torchlord Thorin Silverbeard

Torchmaster Torval
The current Torchmaster of the Torches. He is a wise
and deeply dedicated man to his cause, and as an elf, has been working at his post for close to a century. Other younger ancestries tend to be novel to him, especially children. |

Shadow-Aligned
Baron vonCount
A powerful and cruel human merchant-lord of Harad, who

Ferandis

Quietus
A half-orcish Shadow cultist who enlists the help of Gregor and Zelt to see him to safety. His plots in the destruction of the village of Solus are discovered, and soon dies a "mysterious" death by unknown assassin(s). His tomes may unlock the secrets to undoing the damage caused by the Shadow. |
S.L.Y
Impa Repro
A gnomish SLY agent who goes by the name
of "The Imp", whose curious and studious nature has led her to become the head of not only the Westport branch, but also of Research, Development, and "Acquisitions" of new SLY technology. She runs a seedy alchemist's shop as a front for SLY activity. |

human enchantress prefers to use her beauty and charisma along with her enchantment and illusion magic in place of stealth and subterfuge. gifted spellcaster and linguist. As a leader and a person, he is patient, kind, and down-to-earth in comparison to the multitude of arrogant mages who live in Magnos. Precocious and curious, he seems to take well to many forms of magic. |
