Morgoth is defeated

War of Wrath is fought, with Edain allied with the Elves and Valar. The greatest of Morgoth’s dragons is slain and destroys Thangorodrim as it falls from the sky. Morgoth defeated and banished to Morenore, but much of Beleriand in NW Endor falls into the sea. All that is left are two sections of Lindor west of the Blue Mountains.   The Silmaril Earendil took to Aman is set into the night sky. The other two entrusted to Maiar Eonwe. One is thrown into the sea and the other buried in the earth.
