Guild of the Claw

The Guild of the Claw was one of the first blood hunter orders who created the Order of the Lycan. Taking from the local priesthood, they harnessed the bestial side of combat that made them so ferocious. They have since branched out, and many of them follow the different blood hunter orders.   Blood Hunters from this school tend to be loners and do not forge strong bonds with their brethren. This is because of the philosophy of the school's founder, who believed that witchers should focus only on the job aspect of their profession. He thought that any code or knightly virtues were just inflated nonsense to feed the ego, and thus favored autonomy above all else. This autonomy extended even to the school itself. Many of these hunters have abandoned any notions of chivalry after being raised here, although some who might have come to the school as an adult might still hold on to those traditions they grew up with.   Caer Dunroch is a difficult place to live. Due to the cold and snow of the mountains the boys had to huddle up close to the hearthfires or sleep beneath many furs. If they didn't they would suffer frostbite or hypothermia. Besides that there was also the never-ending removal of snow from the fortress courtyard. This, coupled with the already difficult lifestyle that comes with life on the Helspire Islands , these Blood Hunters are extremely durable.
