Istarnai

Istarnai was a once a great elven war smith. His level of crafting was so great, that even the gods sought out his abilities to craft the some of the great Artifacts of Power. He crafted great weapons, rings, and staffs of power for the gods, and their champions. Some believe he was the champion of Gond himself, a rare blessing to be given. The great elf craftsman fought valiantly as a warrior as well.

When The Divergence occurred, Istarnai was distraught with separation from divinity. He took his family to seclusion, to live away from the blossoming empires that arose post-divergence. Istarnai was approached by a powerful mage known as Mordrid, the whispered one. Mordrid approached the elf as a great cleric of the light, who sought the means to bring back those gods who were banished hundreds of years ago. When the great ring was crafted, Mordrid betrayed Istarnai.

Istarnai was killed alongside his family and those he loved. How he became a wraith is unknown, yet he has been known to reach out to tormented soles who seek vengeance against those who have wronged them. He empowers them, and asks in return for his servants to seek out those servants of Mordrid in order to keep her chained to the material plane. For Mordrid seeks divinity, and Istarnai remains to prevent that from occuring.
