Numidia Caliphate
The Numidia Caliphate is effectively an elective Monarchy, originating from the colonies established by the The Fallen Empire of Khermi, and the influences by the Dwarven lords and giants to the north. The Sultan is the ruling monarch, and they are chosen for life. Once they die, a council is convened by all the dukes in the lands, and a leader is chosen among them. Many of the Sultans have been chosen from the Noble families in Sunsword. The Dukes are chosen from their own councils, who rule over the various villages, cities, and towns scattered throughout Numidia.
The Sultan is guided by a small council, who are appointed by a combination of the Sultan and the Dukes.

- The Ship Master, who is an accomplished sailor.
