Culture and cultural heritage

Regarded as "Paxum's Army," the silverblood class is best known for their alliance with Paxum the Blinding Light and his conflicts during the Second Age of Hadanguard. The fierce warriors have a burning contempt for Copperbloods.   Silverbloods believe in a strong work ethic and their capacity for building and production are integral to their sense of community. Community trust is built on the desire to continuously improve fervorian society through the application of laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations. Silverbloods are often concerned with keeping their friends, neighbors, and family members in-line with such laws to avoid trouble. The Silverblood Archon rules from Hero's Wake and works with the Schools of Hadan to maintain order.

Shared customary codes and values

The Fervorian people who trace their ancestry to Paxum the Blinding Light the ancient hero who allied with Hadan to guide the Fervorian people out of bondage.

Average technological level

Silverbloods within Fervor retain the right to advanced fervorian technology which aids them in the production of arms, armor, and other magical crafts, but sharing this technology with outsiders is strictly forbidden and punishable by death.

Common Etiquette rules

Silverbloods are expected to hold themselves and those around them to a higher standard, and should always strive towards improvement. Those who falter are often seen as lazy and unwilling to put in effort. If one is not improving or remaining in their comfort zone, they are often shunned by their silverblood kin.

Common Dress code

The apparel of the common silverblood is a light silken or linen toga, sometimes accompanied by a tunic. When not wearing common dress, one is most likely to see members of this class in gleaming armorl either purchased themselves, commissioned by a local artisan, or forged by the individual wearing it.

Art & Architecture

Silverbloods are largely responsible for the production of illustrious Fervorian arms and armor. The fine details engraved and embossed into the metalwork depict scenes from throughout the fervorian mythos, and are highly valued in far-off lands.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

All silverbloods regard the villain and traitor Obrinn the Furious Red River as an antagonistic force in their history, and various festivals are often had celebrating Paxum's defeat over Obrinn throughout the year. When not celebrating their own holidays, silverbloods are often incorporated into goldblood celebrations.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

In the ancient marble quarry located deep within the Xervanos Mountains , silverblood couples must like all other fervorians trek through The Intrepedium to bring their family amphora to the shrine to sculpt their child. Silverbloods may on rare occasions (and with the proper family blessings) couple with a goldblood partner. In doing so, they are entrusted with the goldblood family's amphora and produce a goldblood child. Silverblood family's have their own, more humbly designed, amphoras, which are entrusted with the new couple on their journey through the Intrepedium.

Coming of Age Rites

Coming of age is important to every silverblood family, as this is the age when their child is considered an adult by fervorian society. Around the age of 14 to 16, a young silverblood is expected to have claimed some kind of victory in a personal matter or private relationship. Whether this is the slaying of a dangerous animal or the solidifying of a bond with another fervorian, the personal trial can take many forms, and is officiated by the fervorian's parents or guardian.

Funerary and Memorial customs

When a silverblood dies their body, if it is reclaimable, is enshrined in a family memorial. Because of the growing population of silverbloods the practice of entire body enshrinement was abandoned for "bust-enshrinement" instead. In each of the fervorian cities, a Hall of the Remembered houses thousands of passed-on fervorians. Some especially great heroes and historical figures have retained the right to full-body enshrinement.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

A healthy well-maintained body is desired of both male and female members of this caste. Self-care is a high priority, and cleanliness is next to godliness. Both are expected to keep well-kempt and desirable for their partners.

Gender Ideals

Silverblood men are expected to (and in some cases by law) join the Schools of Hadan and attend a military service of at least thirty-five years. In times of peace this can be as simple as guard duty, but in times of conflict such as civil war these roles become more militaristic.   Silverblood women are also included in the military heirarchy, more often in strategist and commanding roles. Military service is not mandated for women, but certainly encouraged. Child-rearing takes priority over military service and so mothers taking care of children are restricted.

Courtship Ideals

A silverblood coupling is a formal affair, often arranged by the parents of the two individuals. In some cases however, some silverbloods allow their personal feelings to overtake their family duties, and have been known to run out of an arranged marriage, much to their family's dishonor.   Silverbloods tend to think more logically when selecting partners, selecting a partner with traits and a personality that best complements their own. Some have taken to magic to divine who their betrothed should be.   In rare cases, a Goldblood may couple with a silverblood, raising that silverblood's yet to be born child into the goldblood caste. But this is often strictly looked down upon by the goldblood caste.

Relationship Ideals

Silverbloods often wish to improve their partners and do their best to maintain a balanced relationship. Older generations of fervorians often advise their children in matters of marriage and family stability.
Able-bodied warriors who pride themselves on their customs and beliefs, they are often adament and good-natured, if not a bit narcisstic.
