Solul
An honorary title for the temporarily-elected leader of the Clericate, the high counsel that runs the Holy Solulan in Khabar.
Soluls are elected under emergencies, usually militarily to provide an ultimate authority for paladins and their adherents. They are elected by bare majority of the Clericate, and must be reelected every morning, being removed from their position immediately the first morning they fail to achieve a majority. The tenures of soluls are always kept as brief as possible, in order to prevent their building a power base. Several soluls have attempted to seize power over the Holy Solulanthroughout its history. Soluls are often removed from their office after only a few days, having made whatever important decisions felt to be necessary.
Because of their centralized power as officials of the Solulan, soluls have often been conflated with the Holy Abhins.
