Cultural Significance

The Teotlepetl is chosen by the Q'Qu'Metzle to be the devine arbiter of the will of the gods and is considerd to be a god in their own right. The Teotlepetl is the absolute authority of the Michocano People in all matters political, religious, and social. The position of Teotlepetl is hereditary, however in the case of where there is no one to inherit the High Priests of all gods come together to select the next god-king from all of the nobles.
