Halfmin II was renowned for his strength, but not for his tactical ability. Three years after he took the throne, Sutwick and the southern Carwold, which had been in unrest since Sabenn the Blue was crowned Queen, revolted against him. They took his cousin Beres the Young as their king, seeking to overthrow Sabenn's line. The revolt lasted four years before Beres surrendered. The remainder of Halfmin’s reign was peaceful, but he was maimed during the war, and the wound hastened his death.
