Warring States

Prior to the unification of the country, Kyokai had been divided up into nearly 100 different feudal states, each vying for power over each other, greater wealth, influence, and land. Inevitably, this period of sporadic civil war for supremacy would last just over two-hundred and fifty years from 448 to 703 ATC. Eventually, this period would give way to a unified Kyokan shogunate beneath the dominant Minamoto Clan, as its armies sweep the country and gather all beneath one single banner.
