The Plains of Ís

The frozen hills of Ís are a barren wasteland, with nearly no signs of life besides the evergreen flora and the particularly cold resistant fauna. Any settlers of this land have been pushed away, or enslaved by the only intelligent natives; the giants. While most of the giants of Ís are frost, those much deeper, or who've taken to the clouds, tend to take on other forms. Giants are incredibly in tune with the elements, and so change as generations go. This does not change the fact that in the end, all giants hail from Ís.   Beneath the icy plains are the intricate stone cities and highways of Ís, connecting the giants with one another, and allowing their lives to go vastly undisturbed by surface life. Though, the practice of using surface folk for work is not foreign to them. The giants of Ís consistently raid the surface, and in time, nearly every Ísian settler had retreated. Either into the arms of the Archons, or into the lands of Winterlan.

Geography

The surface of Ís is a rather standard tundra, but beneath is a complicated web of unnaturally dug tunnels that make up the Ísian world. A country run by giants, built at an average depth of around a mile, the cities of Ís often reach as vertically as they do horizontally. The lands beneath are perilous, though. Monsters of all kinds reside within these tunnels, despite being at the bottom of said food chain. Elemental beasts having traveled from the sunward horizon to find homes in this land of ice, alongside other creatures like yetis, winter wolves, remorhaz, and other similar beasts find homes here. Large predictors simply have more to gain hunting giants than they do anything that dwells on the surface.
