Sear
Sear is the name for the primarily land-based half of Argent. This portion of the world is the half most prominently stricken with the knowledge of magic, and have used it to develop their civilizations beyond that of the races unlucky enough to go without. The knowledge of the first mortal inhabitants of Sear was taught to them by those taught it by the gods in the first place. The ancient dragons of the Eminent Territories, who's civilization dates back to before the great floods, built up with the assistance of the divines themselves. With this magic the mortals of Sear have created massive floating cities, with incredibly complex architecture made from materials primitive mortals only dreamed of manipulating. They've tamed beasts of incredible sizes, allowing the transportation too and from these cities, or even across the skies and oceans regardless of distance. Though most common folk live in awe of this magic, the influence of it is seen everywhere.
With the Sear's heavy reliance on magic being such a massive influence on the developed world, the societies that have been created are very bottom heavy. With a small number of people, talented archmagi and rich monarchs and nobles being at the top, and the large majority of physical laborers and average craftsmen falling towards the bottom. Some civilizations even being seen as lesser, fore regardless of martial prowess or skill their armies pale in comparison to the meteors that would fall upon their ranks if they were to stand to larger kingdoms. Even with the Eminent Territories and their incredible power, because of their nationalist mentality and lack of concern for the problems of other mortals, those with the most magic find themselves without contest in their rule.
