Oposs
The small continent of Oposs.
A warm place filled with dense jungle. Many strange creatures and plants can be found here.
Main exports are exotic fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices. Both for cooking and alchemical purposes. Notable exports are cocoa and koffee.
Imports would be products that either require lots of open space to grow, like wheat. Or be processed in more labour-intensive ways, like fabrics.
Contact between Oposs and other nations only started some 100-200 years ago.
Raw and fermented foods are staples of the Opossian kitchen. Their shorelines are rich in fish, and their jungles rich in fowl. Beastrace resemble mammalian carnivores, so their diet is also very heavily meat-based. Soups are also very common, and used to be the most common type of "drink" until tea came around. Alcohol is quite toxic to Beastrace, to the degree that a single glass of wine would knock them out.
Some type of soup or stew would probably work best. Maybe a curry since it's heavy in spices and fat? Or dumplings made from leaves instead of dough?
There's no real united form of government in Oposs. Cities are run by clans and would have laws against hurting, killing, or stealing. But other than that, laws would vary from place to place and belief to belief.

Punishments from breaking the law would be seen as harsh in the rest of the world. They are relative to how much you hurt the victim. Did you steal from a rich person? Maybe you lose a finger. Steal from a poor person? Death sentence.
Oposs is very warm compared to where we are right now. The south of Oposs is the warmest, which is why the Vanaran, who control most of that area, tend to go into the mountains.
