The Founding of Roht: The Evergold by the suriving Dwarves

In the heart of the Khaz'Modan Mountains, there was a small tribe of dwarves who spent their days digging for precious gems and metals. For generations, they had toiled in the mines, and their hard work had paid off. They had amassed a small fortune in gold, which they kept hidden away in their mines. But as they dug deeper, they discovered something even better: a vast deposit of pure, untainted gold, unlike anything they had ever seen before.   The dwarves knew that this gold could make them rich beyond their wildest dreams, as the world was begining to rebuild itself, what with Cold's Grasp and Rengorr already making the rounds as being the new bastions of humanity. There was even rumors at the time that nomadic people of the desert even founded a city! So they decided to build a city next to their mines, a city that would be devoted entirely to the mining and processing of gold.   They named their city Roht, after the dwarf who had discovered the vein of gold. The dwarves were expert miners and engineers, and they crafted a network of lifts and rails to transport the gold from the mines to the surface. The city of Roht quickly became the envy of all the dwarven clans in the region. It was a bustling hub of activity, with hundreds of dwarves working tirelessly to extract the precious metal from the earth. The gold flowed freely from the mines, and the dwarves grew richer with every passing day.   The dwarven architecture of Roht is a sight to behold. The buildings are constructed of stone and metal, with intricate carvings and engravings adorning every surface. The streets are narrow and winding, with buildings often built close together to maximize space. The city is surrounded by a sturdy stone wall, with watchtowers placed at regular intervals to keep watch over the surrounding area.   The main thoroughfare of Roht is the Gold Road, a wide avenue that runs through the heart of the city. This road is lined with shops and stalls selling all manner of goods, from weapons and armor to finely crafted jewelry and art. The dwarves of Roht are known for their skill with metalworking, and their creations are highly prized throughout the land.   The homes of the dwarves are built with practicality in mind, but they are far from plain or drab. Each one is unique, with its own distinctive style and features. Many homes have intricately carved doorways and windows, with wrought iron balconies and other decorative elements. Inside, the homes are cozy and warm, with sturdy wooden furniture and plenty of fireplaces to ward off the chill of the mountain air. It was a place of great wealth and prosperity, where dwarves from all over the land came to seek their fortunes. The city's architecture was entirely dwarven, with intricately carved stone buildings and soaring pillars made of gold and silver.   But with great wealth came great danger. The dwarves of Roht knew that they were a target for thieves and bandits, who would stop at nothing to get their hands on the precious gold. So they built a great wall around the city, made of thick stone and studded with watchtowers and gates. The wall was manned by a fierce group of dwarven warriors, who were charged with defending the city and its precious gold.   Today, Roht still stands as a testament to the skill and ingenuity of the dwarves who built it. The city remains a thriving center of mining and trade, with gold flowing freely from its mines and into the hands of merchants and traders from all over the land. The dwarves of Roht are known far and wide for their skill and craftsmanship, and their city remains a symbol of wealth, prosperity, and strength.
