First great gathering of the first eight great cities to have been founded. Cold's Grasp is also renamed Salmyr

The Gathering of the 8 was a historic event where representatives from each of the eight major cities in the realm came together to discuss matters of mutual concern. The idea for the meeting originated from the city leaders of Rengorr, who recognized the need for greater communication and cooperation between the cities.   The event was held in Cold's Grasp, which was chosen for its central location and because of its reputation as a neutral ground and having been the first bation of humanity, and where Brightblade ultimately met his end. The city's leaders welcomed the delegates and provided them with accommodations and a meeting hall.   Over the course of several days, the representatives discussed topics such as trade, defense, and resource management. There were disagreements and debates, but ultimately the delegates agreed on a set of resolutions that would benefit all the cities involved.   One of the most significant outcomes of the Gathering was the establishment of a regular trade network between the cities. This allowed for the exchange of goods and resources that were scarce or unavailable in certain regions, and helped to stimulate economic growth throughout the realm.   Another important outcome was the creation of a mutual defense pact, which would ensure that any threat to one city would be met with a united response from all the others. This gave each city a greater sense of security and helped to deter potential aggressors.   Ultimately, it was determined that Cold's Grasp should become the seat of power and commerce of Argus as it was founded first and should become a symbol of Argus' people's unity. As such, the city had its name changed from Cold's Grasp to Salmyr, named after a strange berry by the name of salmyrtle that grew only in bushels around the city that could turn any food delicious once it coated the tongue. The berry became a symbol for unity across the realms.   The Gathering of the 8 was considered a major success, and subsequent meetings were held every few years to continue the dialogue and strengthen the bonds between the cities. It became a symbol of cooperation and unity, and helped to usher in a new era of prosperity and stability for the realm. This also marked the dawn of a new Era, the Era of Prosperity.
