Discovery in the ruins of Vihsanna.

Legend had it that within the old ruins deep below Vihsanna was once a thriving city of living constructs, sentient beings created through magical or technological means, who possessed advanced knowledge of engineering, metallurgy, and construction. The dwarves and dragonborns, known for their craftsmanship and curiosity respectively, were captivated by the tales of the old ruins and sought to uncover its secrets.   Led by a visionary dwarf engineer named Thrum Ironfoot, a group of skilled dwarves, dragonborns, and a few other races set out on an expedition to explore the ruins of Vihsanna. To their amazement, they discovered that the ancient city was not only inhabited by living constructs but seemed to have previously been powered by source of energy now known as "Titanite" These crystals contained immense power and were capable of powering advanced machinery and constructs.   They were all now facing a difficult choice. These crystals which pre-dated any civilization they had ever known could either bring back to life a handful of these constructs, or be used for energy. After much debating and experimenting, they discovered that these crystals contained for lack of a better term "artificial souls". It was ultimately decided that using these crystals as a source of energy would effectively enslave these poor souls and thus most left, upset with the leader's morality, for a bunch of metal and machines.   The handful of constructs that were revived conveniently did not remember anything of their past, who they were and who are their creators but decided to help their saviors with what little knowledge they have.
