Aquarys (Ah-QUAY-riss)

Aquarys is the power of water, wielded by members of the Matai Court. Mystine draw this power from the Glys Crista.

Manifestation

Water magic is drawn from anything - living and non-living - that contains the molecules of water. Mystine can transform water into its solid, liquid, and gaseous forms at will, and draw from the surrounding environment for their power. Mastering the skill of dispersing their own water molecules - or allowing their molecules to blend with the water in the air - can even cause some Mystine to "evaporate" or disappear in illusory tactics.
On rare occasions, skilled Mystine can even control the water molecules coursing through another living creature's bloodstream, although this practice is highly controversial and outlawed by the Matai Court.

Localization

The royal Matai Court are the sole Mystine wielders, but unlike the other traditions, they allow courtesans and artisans to wield Mystine power under select circumstances (primarily alongside Mystine generals or for the royal army). The Mystine prefer damp conditions to dry ones, as this allows for the maximum use of their power, and thus keep their magic use in the snowy tundras and mountaintops.
