House Douglas

House Douglas originated somewhere in 800 ac. as a small knight family in the south of The Baharuth Empire and remained at a similar level for quite a while. However after the last war with the Kingdom of Lavrellnìr house Douglas was rewarded with a large stretch of land a few kilometers outside of Augury. The land was fertile and soon house douglas transitioned their focus from war towards farming. Around that time they also chose a new crest which adornes their wares and clothes to this day.
In recent years the focus of house douglas shifted once again from local to foreign trade, for example house douglas was one of the largest participants in the construction of an airship port in Augury. All in all trade by airship and forming connections out of it seems to be the goal for house douglas right now.

Politics

In terms of influence house douglas is quite a name in local politics in and around Augury however on a larger scale they con only influence with money, no strategic positions, house military nor impressive indeviduals. They train their young in mathematics and economics rather than the way of the sword or magic however through their new house policy of foreign trade they did become a lot more active in recent years.

However disgusting rumors have continuously surfaced in and around the family, most regarding the pleasures the family higher ups indulge in but also in the barbaric way in which their servants and slaves are treated. A clean image is of importance when mingling at court well at the surface at least.
