First Ones

Existing even before the great empire of The Alphacians, the beings known as the First Ones are the same race as the Alphacians. However, a disagreement over the importance of magic vs technology caused a racial schism between the two, eventually resulting in war.
While the First Ones boasted unparalled magical capability, they were no match for the Alphacian's superior machines, and eventually lost the conflict. They were banished to Eastern Arkos, and have since then disappeared from the world in all but name.
