The Alphacians

A force of insurmountable intellect and magic power among the early mortals of the First Age, the Alphacian's discovery and bending of arcane theory enabled the creation of many of the powerful magical items that exist today. This is only conjecture, but some believe their Order spanned across the entire surface of Arkos, with a great Metropolis resting at the center. If there was any evidence of this, it is now lost to time. - Archivist Theramore, 145 3A "Arise, arise, be born anew. And pray that he succeed, for we have looked upon the Throne of Creation and found it lacking." - The Alphacian Account, 237 2A The Alphacian Empire, or Order depending on which historian you speak to, is a theorized world power that is said to have dominated much of the mortal realm during the First Age, up until the final days of The Cataclysm. With ruins dotting every corner of Western Arkos, many scholars proposed the Alphacians ruled the largest and most powerful nation Arkos has ever seen, before being wiped away during the destruction of the final days. Many believe that, given what little can be recovered from that time, that the Alphacian Empire was led by an Order of extremely powerful mages, whose power was unrivaled even across The Cosmic Sea. Other theories for their success revolve around the seemless blending of magic and technology, creating incredible machines and weapons of war, as well as having advances in knowledge that would far exceed the ones currently avaliable in the 3rd age. Some even go so far to say that the Alphacians are to thank for the existence of Arcane Crystals.
