The Wound

The massive scar in the center of Western Arkos is a remnant of The Cataclysm that took place millennia ago when the Ancients were still known to walk the earth. Towards the climax of the bloody war between mortals and ancients alike, it is said the Creator himself plunged his sword into the center of Arkos, bringing an end to the destructive conflict in one decisive action.
There are others that believe the Wound is a gateway to the center of Arkos. One thing is known for certain; the Wound does not suffer fools. Any ship that sails too close to it disappears over its edge, swept up by the many waterfalls cascading down into the abyss.
