Overview 

The Oath of the Collens is a foundational document that was formed slightly before the Old Conflicts began, set as the covenant that all members of the Collens adhere to. Every member must understand the Oath, and swear to live by the precepts that are contained at all times. Each member is given a personal copy of the Oath to serve as a reminder of what the Oath requires, and reading it is encouraged to keep the Oath fresh in the minds of every member.

Purpose

The Oath of the Collens is meant to be a binding covenant that all members must swear to, and remind them of why the Collens exists as a group. It is the governing document that all must adhere to in every action they take for the Collens, no matter what their personal feelings on the Oath.

Historical Details

Term

The contents of the Oath of the Collens have essentially an lasting duration that is not set to expire, as it remains so long as the Collens as a group remains. The only real way for the Oath to be abolished is for the entire Collens order to be exterminated to the last person.

THE OATH OF THE COLLENS

To all who are present & to future generations,
By the gaze of the high heavens, we declare that the Oath of the Collens shall hereby be adhered to by every members of our order. This Oath is a covenant that must not broken for those who do much shall be required of them.

The Oath:

• We shall protect that cannot protect themselves
• We shall fight against those who abuse power
• We shall keep watch for corruption
• We shall stand by our oath

The Oath shall henceforth be established for now and for those in the future that shall come after us, and their successive generations. The Oath shall be upheld to the highest, and those who fail to do so must answer for the deed. Remember the Oath daily, recite it as often as needed, but never forget what the Oath means to us all.

There is no Collens without the Oath, and no Oath without the Collens. The two cannot, and should not, ever be separated.
