The term Near-Human is used to describe any kinds that are closely related to humanity, contrasting with the term “humanoid” used to describe kinds that display external similar traits but had no biological connection to humanity at all. Famous examples of near-humans are Gallians and Leriths.
Near-Humans share basically the same biological structure to Humans with some differences in skin color, eye color, and body structure. Leriths are a excellent example of this as they have slightly pointed ears that denote their partial alfar background, yet they still have their human parentage on display in other ways.
Near-Humans have enough biological connection to humans to where they are capable of interbreeding with them. They are also considered close enough to normal Humans to be considered a branch of humanity.
