Zhihui ((志慧) Zhì • huì)
Huò Zhihui , The First Headmaster of Xola
Two years after the successful revolt and banishment of the Overlord Chaos, Zhihui grew bored. He had begun participating in the revolt against Chaos as a hot-blooded eighteen-year-old and had practically grown up in the exhilarating adrenaline rush of a rebellion. Beginning at the age of 18, he participated up until the end of the revolt in year 0, at which he had turned 59.
In the 41 years of his life in secrecy and adrenaline highs, as he participated in the dangerous and highly illegal revolt, Zhihui a young and untrained Realm Weaver became one of the rarer Realm Weavers and was able to find a Realm Weaver Master. Zhihui had been awakened for 2 years, he had no idea how to handle visions or how to weave rift gates and he was slowly falling deeper and deeper into the grasp of Vision Madness.
Master Aatos was an exciting discovery and Zhihui was able to finally train in the art of Rift Gate Weaving. Without his Master, Zhihui would have never been able to combat the almost inevitable Vision Madness and would have probably gone insane or died from backlash or suicide.
After everything he had experienced in both the revolt and the separation from his Master, it was dull to suddenly have to go back to a normal, non-rebellion life. Sure he had his Realm Weaving and although his Master left him because there was nothing left to be taught, Zhihui was still in contact with Master Aatos but there was no revolt.
Zhihui no longer had the exciting adrenaline rush of the secret rebellion, he lost the companionship and the adrenaline of the rebellion. So, when a group of several other Realm Weavers (looking to figure out the solution to the issue of Realm Weavers) ask Zhihui if he wants to join their Research team.
Zhihui is like, "Sure! I'd love to join." he was definitely lonely and bored out of his mind.
The Research team's whole purpose was to figure out a solution to the notorious problem of Realm Weavers, one that took the lives of so many newly awakened Realm Weavers each year. Realm Weavers had been struggling with the issue of Vision Madness since the first discovery of Realm Weavers.
If an awakened Realm Weaver is not adequately trained, and proper masters to train Realm Weavers are rare, they may become overwhelmed and drained by the countless visions. When untrained Realm Weavers, left to handle visions by themselves, become overwhelmed and drained by the countless visions they are easily susceptible to Vision Madness. Vision Madness is the act of going insane and being lost to the visions that come from being a Realm Weaver.
9 out of 10 untrained Realm Weavers contract Vision Madness. The only known way of reducing the risk of Vision Madness is to be trained by a Realm Weaver master.
In a Realm Weaving mishap, that may or may not have been a fight over where to go next, the seven Realm Weavers end up on a remote island floating in the middle of nowhere. The seven later discover it is a series of floating islands that seem to just belong in the area of nowhere. They were magical and mysterious and no one seemed to have an answer to the question of where they were, why they existed, and how they stayed floating together.
After exploring a bit Ryūjin suddenly had an idea that would solve the problem of Vision Madness. Simply put, the solution for Vision Madness was being trained, but masters were in short supply so instead of sending realm weavers to try and find masters why not bring the masters to them? They had already heard about the 'schools' of the Terran realm and although it wouldn't be as in-depth, why not make a school or training facility for Realm Weavers...
It was a great idea and after a while, the other six decided that was what they were gonna do. The Seven spent three years exploring, mapping, and laying claim to the island. Making several deals with the several more intelligent species living on the islands to begin building the training facility.
Zhihui took charge and became the sort of pseudo leader and lead the six others in the beginning of the building of a training facility. It took another two years of planning and actual building before the training facility was built and able to be used. Brisa came up with the name Xola, meaning "stay in peace" an ode to the future hope that Xola will become a peaceful asylum for Realm Weavers to stay.
At the age of 75, Huò Zhihui of Fabron was appointed by the other six Realm Weavers as the first Headmaster of Xola.
To this day Zhihui is held in high respect for not only being one of the Founders of Xola but the very first Head of Xola.
The Founders
The seven Realm Weavers who were apart of the Research team that discovered Xola.
- Zhihui (A Fabroni Realm Weaver and the first Headmaster of Xola)
- Farren (A Dykumic Realm Weaver)
- Hansra (A Dykumic scholar and Realm Weaver)
- Brisa (An Anvindrian Realm Weaver)
- Ryūjin (A Morrissen Realm Weaver)
- Cyrus (A Fabroni Realm Weaver)
- Circe (An Anvindrian Realm Weaver)
The Council of Elders
After making Zhihui the first Headmaster, four of the remaining six Realm Weavers determined that the Headmaster should not have complete control over Xola. They decided on the idea of a Council that would keep the Head of Xola in check. The Council started as only four elders but after 2 years of constant disagreements and multiple question of genuine integrity, the council expanded to eight in order to include two representatives (in hopes of keeping each other in check) from each Realm. The Original Elders include:
- Farren (A Dykumic Realm Weaver)
- Ryūjin (A Morrissen Realm Weaver)
- Cyrus (A Fabroni Realm Weaver)
- Circe (An Anvindrian Realm Weaver)
