Korsam Shore

Korsam Shore is a large fishing town along the southern shore of Lake Korsam. The central market square is filled with fishermen sellling their catches, craftsman of all sorts, and merchants from far away who took the [unnamed] river up into Lake Korsam and braved its dangers to sell their goods. Swords for hire are also quite common as sailors will often hire them for protection from the lake's dangers.

Government

Like all cities in Korsam, Korsam Shore is run day-to-day by a governor who serves under the king of Korsam.

Defences

Lake Korsam itself offers some protection from invasion, both because nobody can invade from that side and because very few people want to live in a town so close to it. Beyond that, however, Korsam Shore is a simple fishing town with no real defense besides the town guard. It isn't incredibly valuable to Korsam as a whole so very few if any resources would be spent to protect it. Some of the swords for hire in town may rally to defend it, though most of them only fight if they are paid to do so.

Industry & Trade

Most of the population of Korsam Shore are either fishermen or craftsmen, a large portion of the fish caught here is exported and sold elsewhere in Korsam.

Infrastructure

Korsam Shore has a massive dock for all of the fishing boats that come in and out, along with large shipyards to build any new fishing boats that are needed as well as repair those that are damaged in encounters with the lake's inhabitants.

History

Originally, Korsam Shore was just a beach that a few fishermen would go to and as it gained popularity, evolved into a market, and eventually into the town it is today.

Geography

Like most of Eastern Korsam, Korsam Shore is a flat area where rain is quite common, due to the proximity of the lake.
