Consul of Carthia

The Consul of Carthia is the leader of the now ceremonial senatorial system of governance over the Dominion of Carthia. The role pre-dates Unification of Carthia under the Reagus Dynasty by Atrius Reagus but has been kept and claimed by the head of the Reagus Dynasty ever since.
Before unification, the position was granted, for a limit of 10 years, to an individual following an election of the Governers of each of the free cities of Carthia. Even then the role was largely a ceremonial one to demonstrate unity of Carthian culture rather than a legislative force.
