Harmisil (ˈhärm-i-sil)

The most affectionate of the lycan's ancestors.

The night sky can be considered one of the most varied views one can see in arsharin, between the colourful astral nebula, stars, and its most notable features always in its presence, the dual moons. Often present in the night sky, ever looming with it's blue light granted by queen lunara, the moon harmisil is one of the two that circles arsharin throughout the entire year, cycling between its states which many use to assist with omen and prophecy.
The moon blue light comes from it's stone and sand surface, allowing it to sparkle and provide light at night, the surface is more comparable to crags and deserts then it is a smooth or flat landscape, giving the look of perpetual night time deserts and badlands with an intense stillness with no wind or water, harmisil could be said to be a realm of stasis. It said that blue moon sand can calm even the wildest wolf.
Shifting between it's moon phases at a far faster rate then the dragon moon, the wolf moon's state is used for day to day omens and fortune telling, the its full moon being a sign of harrowing during unsure times, empowering night hunters and people's superstitions alike. However, it also represents protection, stifling assassins in the bright nights it causes and preventing night time ambushes. Inversely, harmisil's new moon is a time of somberness, where monsters need not be as feared, but also darkness, leading the ambitious to strike, and mortals to be able to unleash their inner evils.
By it's namesake however, the evils it is related to more is that of lycanthropes and other night dwelling monsters. Being a representation of lycanthropic corruption but also as a parent to other lupine creatures, good or evil. Uncaring of the actions of those it empowers and protects, caring only for its children. The metaphor of moons as an amoral, selfish parents who care only for their own is common throughout history.
