On the bright side...

Doctor Who: It has some horror and peril, but also a huge sense of wonder at the universe, and it is ultimately optimistic about humanity and progress.

Star Trek: A future in which we have improved our lot and overcome some of the problem patterns humans engage in.

Cosmos, Mythbusters, Bill Nye: The Science Guy, and other such series that celebrate real-life science and interact with it joyfully.

And on a darker note...

Dark Souls, et al: Soulsborne games are great at creating the sense of coming up against circumstances and enemies that are so much bigger than the player, and which could easily squash you. But they also show that by chipping away at it, improving, and just plain persevering, we can overcome.

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow: A legit horrifying point-and-click adventure that really captures the terror of strange people acting weird around you. But seriously, it's on-point Lovecraftian Horror, and would be great inspiration for the sweaty-nightmare portions of the void. It too gives the feeling of having brushed up against something much bigger, though in this case the brush is traumatizing and the bigger thing is inclined to use you, chew you up, and then spit you out when you've served its purpose.
