Asmodeus

(a.k.a. Lord of Hell, The Conqueror)

Asmodeus is a dangerous and conniving force. He has united the Nine Hells under his rule, slain more gods than any other, and was stopped only by the combined efforts of many divine forces.
After his serpentine form was slain on Avernus by The Unkillable Bastards, Asmodeus was weakened – some thought snuffed out for good. His acolytes lost their divine power for decades, but it has slowly returned. A fragment of his body remained in Nessus, the lowest level of the Nine Hells, and he slowly regains his strength. Another cunning devil rose during his time of weakness. Asmodeus now controls only the lowest four levels of Hell, his rival Mephistopheles controls the upper four.
